I am currently a 5th year student at the University of Edinburgh studying MEarthSci Geology & Physical Geography. I volunteer at the British Geological survey in Edinburgh once a week where I am involved in photographing their hand specimen collection. I enjoy all aspects of geology but I am particularly interested in petroleum geology and sedimentology. I recently completed my 4th year dissertation titled 'Investigating the effect of faults in reservoirs on the storage of oil through an analogue experiment at Lamberton, Scottish Borders'. I have carried out field work in Inchnadamph, the Tabernas and Sorbas basins in SE Spain and also the Troodos Mountains in Cyprus. Outside of university I enjoy hill-walking and photography which allows me to explore the fantastic geology Scotland has to offer.
