Born 9th September 1971 in Kaduna town, Kaduna State of Northern Nigeria. Attended Primary School and Secondary in Kaduna State. I also attended the Federal University of Technology Minna, and graduated with Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Physics with Telecommunications in 1997. After the mandatory Nigeria National Youth Service (NYSC) I took up a teaching job in the Kaduna State College of Education (KASCOE) Gidan Waya as Physics Teacher, for the National Certificate of Education (NCE), Preliminary, and Internal Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination classes, between 1999 and 2001. In January 2001 I joined the Nigeria Telecommunication Limited (NITEL) as a telecoms engineer.

I left NITEL after 2 years to join the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, as a Geophysicist. Now I have over ten years experience as a Geophysicist in DPR working in the Basinal Assessment and Lease Administration (BALA). I am now a Chief Geophysicist.
