Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Northern England - Riplingham Tabular Flints

These are three tabular flints in a c. 1.75 m interval, the lowest of which is c. 0.13 m thick, and carious, semitabular or discotinuous; the middle (c. 0.1 m thick) and upper flints (c. 0.14 m thick and best developed of the three) are both underlain by yellow indurated chalk (Gaunt et al., 1992).
