Chalk Group Lithostratigraphy: Northern England - Deepdale Upper Marl

Always thinner (c. 30 mm) than the Deepdale Lower Marl, and usually about 2 m higher in the succession , with common ferruginous pseudomorphs of the small brachiopod Terebratulina lata in the overlying chalk (Wood & Smith, 1978).
