BritGeoWiki aims to disseminate high-quality BGS science and provide the wider geoscientific community with the opportunity to comment and contribute articles on related topics, but not to edit existing articles anonymously. It is not an encyclopaedia but a means of stimulating the exchange of geoscience information. BritGeoWiki articles are reviewed before publication and their authors, with their affiliations, are clearly identified.
