| This lists sub national scale groundwater maps in Africa. They are listed in alphabetical order by country (using accepted country names in English).

| These are maps that cover smaller areas of a country. In a few cases, such as South Africa, a consistent series of sub national maps has been produced to cover the whole country. In most cases, sub national maps are available for only selected areas - eg administrative districts, catchments or aquifers.

| Most of these are traditional hydrogeological or groundwater resource maps. A few focus on particular themes related to groundwater.

| This is not a comprehensive list - there are many more sub national hydrogeological, groundwater resource and thematic groundwater maps that have been produced for specific projects or activities. Many of these are only available as images in project reports.
