In addition to the BGS staff acknowledged in the Foreword, the workshop was financially supported by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) under their CCS Global Knowledge Sharing Programme. This support via Mr Aatif Baskanderi at FCO’s Alberta office, Canada, was very gratefully received and was primarily used to support the attendance of a number of delegates.
