Definition: The interval between the LAD of Neoeurysphaeridium glabrum to the LAD of Alterbidinium acutulum.

Comments: The LAD of Alterbidinium acutulum lies within the B. occidentalis Zone (Wilson, 1974; Schiøler & Wilson, 1993).

Lithostratigraphical correlation: The Little Marl Point Chalk and the Beacon Hill Grey Chalk members (East Anglia) and the Mackerel Formation (North Sea).
